Question:

With regards to the Tahiyat al Wudu prayer, does it have to be prayed immediately after wudu or can two rakat for wudu be offered any time after making wudu, even if there are prayers made in between such as Dhuhr? If so, would it be accepted if for example i made 3 performances of tahiyat al wudu at night for making wudu 3 times during the day but was too busy to perform them immediately after making wudu each time?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Tahiyyat al-Wuḍū’ holds great virtue.  Consider the following:
The Prophet ṣalallahu ʿalayhi wasallam said,
“Whoever performs Wuḍū’ diligently and performs two Rakʿah with sincerity and devotion, Paradise becomes obligatory for him.” (Sunan Abū Dāwūd)[1]

Tahiyyat al-Wuḍū’ should be performed straight after performing Wudū’ as long as the time is not a disliked time to perform Nawāfil.[2]

And Allah Ta’ālā Knows Best
